Terms of Use & Data License
How the Data Center List platform and its facility dataset may be used — what's free, what requires a license, and where the data comes from.
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing datacenterslist.com (the “Site”) and the data it publishes (the “Dataset”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Dataset.
2. Free use & attribution
The Site and Dataset are free to view. You may reference, quote, and cite individual facts and figures for editorial, research, and personal use, provided you attribute “Data Center List (datacenterslist.com)” and, where practical, link to the relevant page. Answer engines and search engines may index and cite the Site with attribution.
3. Commercial license required
The Dataset is a compiled, curated work. Without a written commercial license, you may not:
- systematically scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Dataset or substantial portions of it;
- redistribute, republish, sublicense, or resell the Dataset or derivatives of it;
- incorporate the Dataset into a competing product, database, or commercial service; or
- train commercial models on bulk exports of the Dataset.
Programmatic and bulk access — API feeds, data exports, and custom research — is available under a commercial license. Contact licensing@datacenterslist.com.
4. Sources & accuracy
The Dataset is compiled from public sources including PeeringDB, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, and public planning records, combined with our own research and AI-assisted estimates. Values marked est.— including estimated power capacity and approximate (geocoded) map coordinates — are estimates, not surveyed measurements. The Dataset is provided “as is,” without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for investment, siting, or engineering decisions.
5. Intellectual property
The selection, arrangement, enrichment, and presentation of the Dataset, along with the Site's design and content, are owned by Data Center List and protected by applicable database and copyright laws. Underlying facts sourced from third parties remain subject to their respective licenses.
6. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
